Powderhorn Mountain Resort

Historic Rim Rock Drive
Come take a cruise down Rim Rock Drive. The drive takes 45-60 minutes, but the rock formations along the route date back about 1.7 billion years. There are several spots to stop and take in the view. If you want to stop and stretch your legs, there are several hiking trails to choose from.

Grand Junction Rafting Adventures
The Colorado River provides some of the best white water rafting in the West. There are a variety of rafting companies in the area that run everything from class three to hair-raising class five rapids. If you’re looking for something more mellow, Palisade offers wine country float trips down the Colorado River.

Mount Garfield
At the highest point of the Book Cliffs, Mount Garfield overlooks the town of Palisade. Built of sandstone, mudstone, and shale, it stands out amongst the lush vineyards that surround it. Many a brave soul choose to traverse the hiking trails of this desert wonderland on the Mount Garfield Trail. If you’re feeling parched after your journey, head on down the mountain to the many nearby wineries.

Grand Mesa
Reaching an elevation of 11,000 feet and topped by a hard layer of volcanic basalt, the Grand Mesa is a wonder to behold. It’s a year-round experience offering snow activities in the winter, fall colors in autumn, and hiking or biking explorations in the warmer months. The byway, which is about a two-hour drive from Cedaredge to Palisade, gives you a chance to take in all the enchanting views.

Saddlehorn Campground

Grand Junction boasts some of the best golfing in Colorado. It has four public golf courses that are open all year, thanks to the temperate seasons in the area. Lincoln Park Golf Course is good for a fast round at only nine holes. Tiara Rado Golf Course and Redland Mesa Golf Course have beautiful views of the Colorado National Monument. Chipeta Golf Course has 18 holes with a par 59 and a variety of hazards.

Check-In Instructions
Check-In:
- Check-in is 4:00 p.m. MT.
- A check-in instructions email will be distributed to guests 7 days prior to arrival date containing directions and access information for the property.
- In most cases guests will access a property via a lockbox or smart lock using the given access code.
- Early check-ins can only be confirmed on the day of arrival.
Check-Out:
- Check-out is 10:00 a.m. MT.
- Guests must depart the property by the check-out time unless a late checkout has been coordinated and confirmed with the SkyRun office.
- Late check-outs must be coordinated directly with the SkyRun office no later than 9 a.m. on the day of departure. Please note that if we have an incoming guest we will not be able to accommodate a late checkout.
- We ask that guests remove major trash from the unit, return the furniture to its original location, and load and run the dishwasher.
Parking:
- The check-in instructions email will contain information regarding parking at your property.
- Any parking fines assessed to your vehicles during your stay will be billed to you if they are billed to us. Parking fines can be significant.
